Written by Agatha Christie at Istanbul Pera Palace in 1933, the cult work Murder on the Orient Express, translated into dozens of languages and adapted for film, is on the theatre stage in Turkey for the first time this season.
Aboard the Orient Express departing from Istanbul, alongside various personalities, is the world’s most famous detective, Hercule Poirot. On the very first night, a brutal murder is committed on the train. The volatile businessman has been stabbed to death multiple times, and everyone who could have done it has an alibi. Moreover, the compartment where the murder took place is overflowing with evidence. For the first time in his life, Poirot is facing a difficult situation. Who or whom was the victim, and why was he killed? Are the people who look like an ordinary group of passengers actually hiding something?
When the train gets stranded in the snow in the mountains, Poirot starts a race against time to find the killer or killers before the police arrive.
