The play The Clowns, which tells the story of two forgotten former clowns living in a rundown house, meets audiences at the Didim Atatürk Cultural Center.
Once-renowned stage performers Suat and Sami struggle with the deep sorrow and heavy loneliness brought on by being forgotten over time. Desiring to step back under the spotlight, the duo tries to spread the word to their surroundings. Just during this stagnant period, their long-silent doorbell is rung by an unexpected visitor.
Written and directed by Serkan Budak, the production stars Selahattin Taşdöğen, Ferdi Akar, Nurnur Yoldaş, and Buse Demirel. Bearing the signature of Temaşa Gösteri Sanatları, the work addresses loneliness, one of the prominent issues of our time.
Examining human relationships through the colorful pasts of former clowns, the production offers viewers both cheerful moments and the drama behind the characters’ tears. Theater enthusiasts will have the opportunity to watch this meaningful performance at the Didim Atatürk Cultural Center.
